Meet Peg Larabell: She knows shoes, leather, and Moobuzz too!
Meet Peg Larabell; craftswoman, bee enthusiast, inventor.
In the mid 1970’s, craving the satisfaction of working with her hands, Peg started a small custom leather-goods business in Neenah, Wisconsin. She began making belts, bags, shoes and boots. She relished finishing her leather goods with stains and oils similar to the ones she used when she helped her dad with woodworking projects. In addition to her small leather goods business, Peg began keeping bees. Fascinated with honey, honey comb, and bee culture, she was soon providing friends and family with an abundance of honey. She was also collecting a fair amount of beeswax, a by-product of honey extraction.
Peg started Third Street Shoe-an awesome shoe/leather repair place. She has now moved into devoting the majority of her time producing this awesome leather product called Moobuzz. It’s all natural and makes old leather look new again. In addition, she’s out there teaching classes. She is coming to Bare Knuckle Arts, to teach a workshop on Unique Leather Key Fobs on Sunday Nov. 18th 1-3:30pm.

For the top of your soap, you could bring fun things like a small pine cone, a favorite lego piece, a bouncy ball, some scrabble letters, or anything else small that would look incredible sticking out of your soap! This Was So Much Fun and Great Results, We are putting it on the Calendar for March 9th!
This was so much fun and with great results, we are doing it again March 9th! Save your spot now. Paint Your Own Barn Quilt
What's a Barn Quilt? A larger piece of wood painted to look like a quilt block. Typically they are very large and usually are placed on the exterior of a barn, house, garage or shed. Barn Quilts began in the early 2000's in Ohio and now many states have Barn Quilt Trails you can follow, including Shawano County in Wisconsin. Our barn quilts will be the size of 20 inch by 20 inch. Most barn quilts are painted with simple geometric shapes, like squares, rectangles and triangles. They usually are painted in solid colors. The simplicity in shape and the vibrancy of solid colors make these blocks easily seen from afar AND it makes they easy to create. Don’t have a barn? A screen porch will do. No Experience is necessary for this workshop. All materials provided-you just need to get it home in your car.
Saturday March 9th 9am-2pm Bring or get some lunch. Family groups can work on one.
