Weekend Workshops at the Studio

If you are looking for a deeper connection to your kids, grand-kids, brothers, sisters or any family member we encourage you to join us in collaborating or creating together in a shared space. Many of these workshops offer that opportunity.

Weave a Giant Nest and Add Eggs Spring Workshop Saturday April 26th 9:30-Noon

Weave a giant nest with pre-cut thin willow and dogwood branches. Then paint and add some extra-large wood eggs. You can lay it flat or add a rod to hang it. The next will be at least two feet in diameter as we will weave it on a metal wreath form to provide structure.

All materials provided. Ages 10-Adult Great family workshop for Spring.

$60 per person or per family group to make one

Glass Wind Chimes

Love them for their sound, admire them in the natural light. Learn how to make fused glass wind chimes that provide sound therapy and brightness to your yard. Make 4 long unique pieces of fused glass and attach them to a piece of wood. All materials provided. No experience necessary. Ages 10 to adult or families can work together to make one set of chimes. Saturday May 3rd 9:30-11:30am

$75 per participant or one set of chimes

Once considered Tramp art or Folk Art the bottle cap chair and bottle caps have been around since the late 1800’s. There is something so very primitive and yet striking about the massed bottle caps that makes them fun, textured, and they hint at play. Come learn to create your own small Bottle Cap Chair in this Workshop.

Create a Narrative Small Scale Sculpture with New and Old Upcycled Materials Saturday Feb. 22nd

Join us in this workshop as we used recycled, old, and new materials to create a narrative small scale sculpture. This is a workshop that combines creativity with ecological awareness. Bring some of your own collection from old boxes, buttons, jewels and use some of our new and old materials. We will sculpt with Sculpey clay and use fabric to create narrative 3d pieces.

$50 per participant Ages 10-Adult
